Wayland to Waveland’s
‘Mission to Mississippi’
Day 46 -- Week 7
FRIDAY, NOV. 30, 2007 – WAVELAND, MA
Hi everyone,
Today was another amazing day! We finished drywalling the remaining house and with the help of the Cunningham family, Eddie Peterson and Rose they all are clean.
Guy had us clean out 2 storage trailers on Maple and we moved the electrical equipment and job boxes over to Combel in preparation for the next 2 weeks. On Combel, Ryan directed us to clean out 2 storage boxes and we consolidated everything by trade. Heavy work.

Jim Sr. and Jim Jr., Greg and Norman continued mudding the houses on Combel and hopefully with the fans running they will be ready by Monday for sanding and eventually painting. They walk on "stilts" as comfortably as we walk. It is a treat to watch professionals at work.
Suzanne and Analia served authentic seafood gumbo for lunch which was devoured by the crew. Delicious! We hope it becomes a staple on the lunch menu.
After the sites were cleaned many of us toured "south of the tracks." We stopped to visit Melanie and Ms. Hazel and were treated to a tour of their homes. It was special knowing residents and being able to visit them.
Most everyone has the day off tomorrow, after a long, heavy-duty week. Another piece of this project is ready for the next group. Enjoy and thank you for your continued support.
Cindy
